Victorious

By: Fox

The shadowed inferno whisked through the darkness of the once glorious forest. It's hunger did not begin, nor end. It continued harvesting it's children, sending them to satisfy their newborn hunger. Inching it's way through, so it could enjoy each scream, and each grievance.

The adversary of the inferno was impelled to halt these actions. They argued with fiery winds, and ice shards that fell from wrathful heavens. Colossal spheres of ice crystal striked, thrashing them to a desist. Thrilled with their short victorious battle, they cheered.

The now enraged flame laughed at the stupidity of the opposition. Thinking the inferno had been defeated, and they were the true victors was a banal thought! Charged with a new purpose the flame grew impenetrable. Reaching the content heavens, it smirked inciting fear on the heavens.

The heavens froze as the fire appeared. They were without weapons high above. Staring into the ironically icy eyes of the fire. They pleaded, begged for mercy. The inferno roared it's reply, asking if they had ever had mercy on them. They still pleaded, saying the would be more lenient.

The inferno's blaze tamed at that moment, pondering the outcome. The heavens watched with anticipation, waiting for the flame to create an eclipse on their domicile. Blazing, the inferno gazed toward them, waiting.

A chivalrous character impended to the blaze. He did not snivel, weep, or beg. He had compromise set in his eyes, with all the mindless, spineless, quivering freaks he had to engage with daily, he was tired of it all.

The compromise filled the inferno with an electrifying charge of excitement. The heavens smiled, grinning and patting the back of their hero, who had an unsettling smirk on his face. He looked toward the fire and his eyes were as empty as the flames.

His earsplitting outcry erupted, the ground began to tear. Irate, raging conflagration engulfed, savagely feasting as it had done before. Releasing it's anger in an individual rendezvous.

Only one would be victorious, and they did not start celebrating until it was over.
