Forgive and Forget

By: Lo Miller (Poet88)

It is to you whom I speak father

What happened to "I will always be there daughter,

for you and your sister both"

You left one day without a second thought

You say it wasn't us you were leaving,

and yet when I turned around you were gone

You walked away and out of our lives

So fine, you're gone

But don't expect me to answer when you decide to call

It was too late when you realized you were in the wrong

It was your fatal mistake

Now you are forever gone in your final rest

They say to just forgive and forget

You tore apart our family, ripped apart our lives

One thing I can promise is this;

I man oneday forgive, but I will never forget.
