Not Time to Weep

By: Kelli Crow (cillek)

It seems you’ve always preferred dark to light.

So easily you were lured by their thrills,

you fell in love with uncaring delight.

Suckled fear from the bosom of devils.

The drink they’d said is wonderful is not.

You said never mind the taste- it’s power.

Your drink would not last. Always more you sought.

I saw the destruction you thought a cure.

You start to see as you are defeated,

I found you a crumpled heap at their feet.

Now you realize devils never cared

as beasts of darkness like you broke and beat.

The claws of sin have sunk in you so deep.

Pull poison from you, it’s not time to weep.
