Contempt

Contempt

God: beginning and the end,

author of all righteousness.

He who sets the premise,

of what is right and wrong

Some blame Him for atrocities

of the innocent by the wicked,

for the starving children,

poverty throughout the world.

Yet one must, with open eyes,

see that he is just… just is He.

He gives to those, that receive,

grace sufficient to overcome.

To blame God is a futile act,

diversion from self-reflection.

Accuse Him if you must,

it will end in your demise.

God sets the premise just,

the rules are from His will.

Your sense of righteousness,

flawed from within your sin.

Charge him with atrocities,

avoid your introspection.

The road to Hell eternal,

is paved with vile contempt.

God, all-powerful, is just.

Who are we, to say He’s wrong?

Foolishness within our hearts,

to blame Him for man’s sins.
