A Joyride

By: Murasaki

I'm lying here staring up at my ceiling

with these words running in my head;

and the prideful thoughts of what i'm feeling

in all the ways that i've heard them said.

each letter that i scratch upon my paper

makes a bigger smile on my face

cause i'm thinking that this thing will

make me famous or at least get me out of this place

spirialing down

eyes closed tight

wondering when my ride will end.

to this life I am bound

so hold on

I might as well make use of it, make it bend.

well, you better press your back against the wall

when i'm looking around tonight.

cause if I getta catch, you take the fall

to the ground, endure my might.

should it be a sin to feel this good

or a shame not to feel at all--I know

i've crossed more lines than I said I would

and my world's going black tomorrow.

spirialing down

eyes closed tight

wondering when my ride will end.

to this life I am bound

so hold on

I might as well make use of it, make it bend.

cause it's a little too late

and just a little bit neglected

i've stepped on too many people to name.

I beg you forgive me

thought i was only human.

but I forgot what I was so long ago.

spirialing down

eyes closed tight

wondering when my ride will end.

to this life I am bound

so hold on

I might as well make use of it, make it bend.

my bottle of sleep took the fall

cause tonight my ride has ended.
