Lamentations for Seth’s daughter

By: Raven

cool pools of moon’s fair light

bathe the daughter of Seth tonight

pale skin would never let anyone in

the spirit consumed and burned all her sin

the mad sea, son of Cain’s blue eyes

swept her in a current and disguised

his true intentions; he tried to be pure

thought her love would be the cure

two tribes one close and one far

their union could only mar

the daughters soul

all so Cain could attain his goal

but she persists, her tears flow

and she weeps in such woe

longing for her husband to be spared

from the wrath that he dared

I sit and watch the sunset fade

whispering a prayer made

from the breath of angels

to deliver you
