Shoes

By: Marble

A pair of empty shoes lay by the door

They had been sitting there for days

Who had worn them last?

Bringing them to this desolate place

The only color in the decaying room

Blood on the walls have dried to a repulsing brown

The screams have faded into the walls

Filling them with more than just plaster

more than just secrets

So many memories lay trapped in the room

While the shoes, with the ability to leave

Are the only ones who decided to stay.
