Looking At Us

By: DrippingTime

A man boards the train

With a leering eye

Decides he is alone

And takes his seat

The others continue

Some sleep

Some creep

The unfolding of events

Never comes as a surprise

Is this what we want?

You want to know the future?

It isn't hard to see

Just look at your mother

or your father

There's a guy on the bus

Tattered and beaten

How far from the fold is he?

A disturbing woman looks me up

With a judgemental eye

She see's my worthlessness

Decides she doesn't need me

I smile at the exchange

And think of her face

It screams

"Feed me."

Rotten it seems

i've become

Wishing for the change

To have begun

Long before now
