And So Did The Children Play

By: Murasaki

around about and always talking

never silent saying nothing

making sense to only who converse alone

ever yapping no one hearing

knowing less and less by day

and so did the children play

sombering within the palest moonlight glow

dancing in circles while standing still

all this while holding the hands

gentle comehither fingers of ignorance

an all but blissful eternity

and so did the children play

remaining alive and still standing still

something's amiss though nothing has changed

unrecognising what you've never known

like breaking glass with stones of air

catching the fragments are hands without care

and so did the children play

around about and always talking

sombering within the palest of moonlight glow

remaining alive and still standing still

knowing less and less by day

an all but blissful eternity

catching the fragments are hands without care

and so did the children play
