Shard Of A Dream

By: Wome

Shard of a dream that became a nightmare,

The past lives on the the hearts of men,

Who toiled, dominated by the callous divide,

Enslaved by concepts, they lost all but pride.

The futile deaths and meaningless quarrels,

The curtain falls and the tradgedy ends,

A script enacted by an opressed nation,

Now unified by the desolation.

The bloody dirt crumbles in their palms,

Like the sullied dream before their eyes,

Forever entrapped in this squalid jewel,

The shard of the fallen Berlin wall.
