Perpetually
By: Fox
Perpetually, the radiant phoenixes burn,
A hybrid of colours that illuminate the shadowed easel.
The stream imagined crimson, a vein of the earth,
A palette of benevolence and deceit sprouting strangely beneath the fire-birds.
A wildcard, duce, is dealt, springing from the hand of the dealer,
Wagering love, counting the stars
Betting that beauty will seize serendipity,
Lady luck steals this hand as beauties kiss.
They lay, hands intertwined, he stroking her soft hair,
Ocean and earth eyes, only locked on death, the infinite,
They are far apart, only existing in the other’s imagination,
Death laughs at them, their dreams, and more at their nightmares; knowing they will meet, and live, perpetually.
