So Deadly

By: siet

All my life you have worried about

me thinking that I'll be the one to

meet up with misfortune in the winding

hallways of this place we both call

home

Never once did it seem to cross your

mind that you are just as vulnerable

Or maybe it's that you're not and

you've never had to be concerned

about these trivial matters like

pain

You believed it to a point that you

made me believe it as well

So to see you struck down like this

lying crippled and cold in a hospital

bed never meant for you suspended

in this second sleep reminds me of all

the times you have visited me all the

times you joked about this room being

my second home

Never thinking you would be here one

day for something so damning

So deadly
