I open my eyes and I see

That a part of me still hasn't let go

And holds desperately to the present

Perhaps knowing something I don't

Pulling myself up I look towards my past

And even with the pain and the sorrow

I force myself to look upon it

And it appears again like it was never gone

Only clouded by the tears

With clear eyes I look towards my future

Though not here I can still feel it

It merely no longer lies upon this path

Turning away from the dead end I start anew

Following my instincts I will find you once more

Following my heart I will never give up again

With open eyes and a smile upon my face

I take my first step towards a new future

And I fly...
