Childhood Memories

By: Brittany

I am from . . .

Shiny sand and crashing waves

Chasing arrows to find the crabs

Kindergarten and itty bitty naps

I am from . . .

Weekend parties and small get togethers

The Harley Davidson my mom always wanted

A photographer in training with our scary faces

Learning at school how to tie my own shoes laces

I am from . . .

Friendship bracelets and Maui Nix stickers

Playrooms and attics filled with treasures

Garage sales with things I wanted to keep

Never being able to swim out too deep

I am from . . .

A fluffy dog named Tootsie never too busy to play

Fetch.

Grandma’s roses and white porcelain dolls

Naked Kevin always found in the den

Barbies, Littlest Pet Shop, TV always showing

little blue men

I am from . . .

My families love and support

The sibling rivalry and arguments

My father’s orange and peach tress

And seeing almost all of California’s wineries
