If You Look

By: Tarlia

If you look at a man,

It's easy to see,

Creation of God,

Perfect symmetry.

If you look in his eyes,

See the color of his soul,

Does he hide and sighs,

Is his heart of gold.

If you look at a woman,

It's easy to see,

God knows that man,

Searches for beauty.

But does she have a heart,

Is she putty or ice,

Bold, strong and smart,

Or just sugar and spice.

If you look at a child,

It's easy to see,

Innocence in a smile,

Comes naturally.

What does life have in store,

One so young on this earth,

Good or evil in core,

Is seed sown from birth.

If you look at a beast,

It's easy to see,

The hunt never cease,

It lives day by day.

Its brain's not a man's,

Yet it's cunning and shrewd,

It's nose smells your blood,

It is savage and crude.

If you look at an angel,

It's easy to see,

Great divine warriors,

Watching over me.

Eyes rarely beheld,

These angelic beings,

Demons turn pale,

And away they flee.

If you look at the world,

It's easy to see,

Though home to us all,

It'll soon cease to be.

The sun will die out,

Stars fall from the sky,

If you are not saved,

It means you will die.

If you look at yourself,

It's easy to see,

Creation of God,

Order of high decree.

Have you lived your life,

Are you ready to go,

For the moment of truth,

Walk out thru Death's Door.
